Again, jello in the feed and yes MTG is great but for a less expensive route, try olive oil. It's worked well for us. Heck, just the jello in the feed and keeping it cleaned and bagged made...

You can get MTG at Tractor Supply, Co-op, National Bridle, World Champion, and Bedford Tack. It is just a dressing to put on the mane and tail. It is sulfur based and it stinks to high heaven....

I tun it along the mane at the roots and rub it in. Saturate the tail bone and finger comb it through. I don't braid the mane.
